JJ-CCR MOD 1
Step into the world of rebreather diving with the TDI JJ-CCR MOD 1 course. Learn to safely use a JJ-CCR unit for dives up to 30 meters, mastering essential skills in gas management, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures.
Offered in three variations: Air Diluent, Decompression & Helitrox
Duration: 6 Days
Dives: 7 Ocean
Age: 18+
Course Highlights
- Learn the theory behind rebreathers, focusing on air diluent for safe diving up to 30 meters.
- Gain hands-on experience setting up and maintaining the JJ-CCR unit, including calibrating electronics for optimal dive performance.
- Master loop volume management and advanced buoyancy control for steady underwater movement and gas conservation.
- Learn critical emergency response techniques and track CNS oxygen exposure to avoid oxygen toxicity.
- For Decompression, you’ll dive deeper using air diluent while mastering decompression stop planning and advanced procedures for extended bottom times.
- For Helitrox, you’ll dive with helium-enriched oxygen to reduce nitrogen narcosis while learning to manage mixed gases for deeper, more complex dive profiles.
Prerequisites
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Proof of 20 logged open water dives
- TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent certification
- Decompression:
- TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures certifications
- Experience in decompression diving (minimum 5 dives)
- Helitrox:
- TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures certifications
- Proof of 50 dives with deep diving experience
What You Learn
- Execute hands-on drills for setting up, maintaining, and calibrating the JJ-CCR unit.
- Practice real-time loop volume control and precise buoyancy management during dives.
- Perform critical emergency drills, including bailouts, gas management, and system monitoring.
- Demonstrate correct techniques and emergency responses in controlled dive scenarios.
- For Decompression, you’ll also practice extended gas management and decompression stop procedures, ensuring safe ascents from deeper dives.
- For Helitrox, you’ll gain additional skills in managing mixed gases, including helium, to reduce narcosis during deeper technical dives.
